The Voyager Program (Middle Years 7-9)

“We are currently preparing students for jobs that don’t yet exist, using technologies that haven’t been invented, in order to solve problems we don’t even know are problems yet.”

The Voyager Program provides an enriching learning experience for middle school students where each child’s learning needs are identified and extended. The program is designed specifically for Years 7 to 9 supported by an innovative curriculum that takes place outside the traditional classroom.

Specific learning themes are designed for each year level. The key stages of learning are;

  • Year 7 | Me at Bayside P-12 College
  • Year 8 | Me in the Community
  • Year 9 | Me in the World

The Voyager Program focuses on the following essential skills for the 21st Century Learner:

Critical and Creative Thinking Capabilities and real life problem solving

Social and interpersonal capabilities

Developing leadership and team building skills

Ethical behaviour

Supporting the school’s School Wide Positive Behaviours program

Intercultural respect and understanding

Building knowledge around cultural diversity and inclusivity

Digital literacy

 Covers STEM programs, digital literacy and communication technologies

The program compliments the traditional academic program of the school.
